There are many fabrics used in quilting like cotton, polyester, Cashmere Silk and wool blends.
A popular technique of padding a fabric is called quilting. Only pre-washed as well as pressed fabrics are used in quilting. Quilting basically consists of two layers, with batting between the top and the backing fabric. In order to prevent the batting from shifting it is stitched with decorative designs or threads. Sewing machines and hands are used for multiple lines of a running stitch in quilting. |
